Mailspring Setup¶
Mailspring is the recommended desktop email client for accessing Solutech Hub mailboxes.
Account Settings¶
When adding your account in Mailspring, use Custom IMAP/SMTP (not Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
IMAP (Incoming Mail)¶
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Server | mail.solutechhub.com |
| Port | 993 |
| Security | SSL / TLS |
| Username | Your full email address (e.g. you@solutechhub.com) |
| Password | Your mailbox password |
SMTP (Outgoing Mail)¶
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Server | mail.solutechhub.com |
| Port | 465 |
| Security | SSL / TLS |
| Username | Your full email address |
| Password | Your mailbox password |
Alternative SMTP port: Port
587withSTARTTLSalso works if your network blocks 465.
Troubleshooting¶
"Cannot connect" or connection timeout¶
- Verify you can reach the server:
ping mail.solutechhub.com - Check that ports 993 and 465 are not blocked by your firewall or ISP
- Try port 587 + STARTTLS as an alternative for SMTP
- Contact your administrator to verify your account is active
"Authentication failed"¶
- Double-check your username is the full email address (not just the local part)
- Ensure Caps Lock is off — passwords are case-sensitive
- Ask your administrator to reset your password if needed
Sent mail not appearing in Sent folder¶
In Mailspring settings, ensure Save sent messages on server is enabled, or set the Sent folder mapping to Sent (not the local Sent folder).
Large mailbox is slow to load¶
This is normal for the first sync. Mailspring will cache messages locally after the initial sync.
Mobile Clients¶
The same settings work for any standard IMAP/SMTP client on iOS or Android.
iOS Mail / Android Gmail app: - Incoming: IMAP, mail.solutechhub.com:993, SSL - Outgoing: SMTP, mail.solutechhub.com:465, SSL
